Layer Masking

Graphic artists use layers of imagery and typesetting within graphic design software, such as Photoshop and Illustrator. These layers stack one on top of another to create a total composition. Layer masking is a technique used to reveal or hide individual areas of a particular layer. This technique creates a complex level of adjustable control when blending multiple graphics.
